How to make garlic mayo: 'Arabic Style'

Garlic Mayo:
Garlic Mayo is an Arabic sauce that is lebanese in origin. It is widely used in shawarma, in turkish doners, chicken wraps and looks great with falafel too. I person1ally love it also because my childhood memories are linked to it in a way. Being born in UAE and spending my initial years of life there, i enjoyed having shawarma wraps, and falafel with garlic mayo. So, i thought of recreating the sauce recipe in my way, my mother loves it and i hope you all will like and make it too.

 Ingrediants:
  • 200ml oil.
  • 1 tsp white pepper.
  • 1/4th tsp salt.
  • 1 tsp garlic finley choped.
  • 1 egg.
  • 1 tbsp vinegar.
Method:
  1. In a container or measuring glass add all the ingredients.
  2. Next, with help of a hand blender, blend the mixture until it turns white and creamy.
  3. It takes about less than a minute to be made with help of a hand blender that has high rpm (Revolutions per minute).
  4. You can also make it with help of juice blender, but make sure it has high rpm or sauce won't achieve the required texture.
  5. Its done in less than a minute and enjoy it with shawarmas and fried foods.
  6. Done!

  1. That is great! As you have recently mentioned in the post above that you loved shawarma, I was also a die- hard fan of shawarma during my bachelors. But later, after leaving university, I did not find that taste anywhere.

After that, I found paratha roll somewhere which I consumed so much, that now, I only go for paratha roll once in a month, as compared to before, when I initially found that; I used to go there three times in a week and eat two paratha rolls at a time.
So, what I want to say is that every famous paratha roll and shawarma brand has some special mayo inside, the recipe of which they never revealed, even after asking many times. A relative of mine, after spending many years in UAE, came back and introduced terms 'Tahini' and 'Hamus', but never revealed the recipe. Now that I know the recipe from here and it also looks exactly like those I found in shawarmas, paratha rolls and at my relative's home, I request you to kindly make use of this in shawarma by sharing any easy recipee to make shawarma or paratha roll. Thank you.
